Today my niece Tori turns 2 years old. I can't believe she is 2 already. I feel like yesterday Kathleen was telling me she was pregnant. We are having a big birthday party on Saturday and the whole family is coming in town. I know she will have a great time.
I have had enough!!! Most of you know I love and adore my dogs!!! With that said you then must know that I want Michael Vick slowly beaten and then drowned or hung just like he did to all those innocent dogs! Sorry, I know it sounds crazy but he did this many times to dogs that could not defend themselves. I put harming a dog right up there with harming a child. Yes, I know a child is a child and a dog is a dog but they are both defenseless. With all the great things I hear some people say about Vick. I must say he must not be that great of a MAN if he won’t pick on another MAN his own size. Vick only chooses to pick on dogs!!! Today when I opened up Yahoo and saw that Stephon Marbury of the New York Knicks defended Vick, calling dogfighting a SPORT and comparing it to HUNTING!!!! I got sick to my stomach. Marbury also said that we should not build Vick up then break him down. I think Marbury is crazy himself. Vick is a great football player who makes millions!!! We are not breaking him down he did this to himself!! Vick throw millions of dollars away for dogfighting!! Last but not least I would love to be a fly on the wall in the New York Knicks office when they talk to Marbury about why he open his big month and got their franchise involved in such a high profiled case.
Sorry for all the ranting! I tried to keep it all in but I can only stay quiet for so long!!!
I know most of you already know but I did get a new car this weekend. I am the proud owner of a beautiful white HUMMER!!! I can't believe it's mine! I LOVE IT!!! I took a picture with my camera phone but it still has not came to my e-mail box. I will try and take a few more pictures tonight. I can't wait to show everyone. All this rain is crazy but I can make it through almost anything now that I have a HUMMER!!! :)
Katelynn Update: Jamie and Katelynn are both doing wonderful. Jamie should be coming home tonight if not first thing Friday. I know she will be happy to be out of that hospital bed. Katelynn will be in a few more days but home before be know it. Oh ya, Steven is doing fine he is going to be a great dad.
Jamie and Steven are now the proud parents of Katelynn Savannah Kubeczka. She was born about 6:40pm Tuesday, August 14, 2007. Katelynn is 4.2lb and 16.4in she is very health and will be home soon. Since she is small they are having her breath oxygen that is why she has a tube on her nose. Jamie and Steven were both great Tuesday. Steven was right there for Jamie the whole time and was great with Katelynn. Jamie made giving birth look easy!!! She did a Great Job!!! I can't wait for them to come home. I will post more pics as soon as I get them.

Just to let everyone know mom is home from the hospital. Kathleen brought her home around noon Sunday and she is doing better everyday. She is off this week so she can rest and get better. She did a great job with the surgery and was the perfect patient. Thanks for all the prayers and for everyone who called or visited I know she is very thankful.
Back to work :( for me. I love my job but I still would love to sleep in everyday and shop all afternoon for a living... he he I must say it is absolutely beautiful out side today, make it a good one.
This Sucks!!! It's almost 1:00am and mom is sound asleep "snoring" and I'm seating here checking out other peoples blogs. I got to the hospital about 10:00am this morning and moms surgery was scheduled for 11:00am. They did not come get her for pre-op until 12:00pm then did not get going with the surgery until about 1:00pm. The surgery lasted about 2 hours then she was in recovery for about 2 1/2 hours. After everyone went home Jamie and I were hungry so we left mom here sleeping and we went and took the rail to Mid Town for dinner. It was my first time on the rail. It was fun just to get out of the hospital for a bit. I really wish I could fall asleep but this place makes me sick. The nurse came in just now and handed me a blanket. I said thanks but I don't think I can use it. I wounder if they really washed it after every person? Hospitals are not my cup of tea. The nurse is very nice she takes her time and always ask if I have any questions. The doctor came in about an hour ago and said she was doing fine. He thinks she should be able to go home tomorrow. I hope so because I can't handle 2 nights up here. Well I don't really have anything else to say so I think I'm going to keep checking out other peoples blogs. I don't think I will sleep tonight but I will try.
In case you did not know its August!!!! What the heck happened to June and July??? I know I have been busy this summer but I feel like I have missed the season completely. I was going to go out of town this weekend but since moms surgery has been moved back until tomorrow I think I’m going to have to stay in town. Please keep her and our family in your prayers. I hate hospitals!! I don’t like to eat or even breathe in them. When I walk down the hall I only look straight ahead or at the floor. Just thinking about the smell makes me sick! Mom better make a speedy recovery because I don’t know how long I can last in a hospital with no food.
I guess I need to get some work done today since it is Thursday I need to close out the week here. I hope everyone has a great weekend maybe it wont rain but don’t count on it.
Marvin Zindler. For nearly two generations, he's been part of Houston, never farther away than a television set. Marvin Zindler passed away Sunday after a courageous battle with cancer. He would have been 86 this August. I never met the man but grow up watching him nightly. Who will ever forget all the restaurant report's of SLIM IN THE ICE MACHINE!! Or what about his sign offs, Have good golf good fishing or whatever make you Happy. And of course MARVIN ZINDLER, EYEWITNESS NEWS!!!
Willie was nice enough to buy me a Coach purse Monday but it was a tote. I like my bags to go on my shoulder most days. Jamie and I went to the mall Tuesday and looked at every purse they had plus the new stuff that hit stores Wednesday. I fell in love with this bag after looking for like 30 minutes. Sorry, I take my time looking at every little thing. Thanks Willie I love my new purse.

What a Day!!! My Roxi girl had to be rushed to the vet today because she was sick. Sunday she was acting sick and moving very slow. The vet was closed and I did not think it was series enough to go to the emergency vet so I called our vet this morning. She was booked but said she would see her if I could get her there. Thank goodness for Tammy and Anna because they ran to the house picked her up and took her for me. What came next I still can't believe. The vet said she was having a false pregnancy!!!! This means she has made her body think she was going to have babies. I know it's crazy but there is more. Her breast mike had started to come in and she had a lump on her side from a milk gland that got infective. She had to have surgery to help fix everything asap. I picked her up about 5:00pm today and she seems to be in a small amount of pain but she is just laying on the coach. Tyson is dieing to know what is going on with her. He just wants to get close to her I think he knows something is wrong. I hope she will be better soon my little baby can't even really walk or jump on the coach.
Bunko Night

This season was one of the best yet for Dancing with the Stars. This is the first time they had a few really good people that could have won not just one or two good dancers. My money was on Ian and Joey from day one!!! Come on, Ian is from my all time favorite TV show and Joey from one of my favorite boy bands. I think the final three couples all did wonderful jobs showing everything they had learned over the whole season in there final dances. I don’t think there were any losers this season!! Congrats Apolo and Julianne!......JAMIE, NO NEED TO SAY I TOLD YOU SO!!
I would just like to say that last night was one of the Best TV Nights in a long time.
ABC: Dancing with the Stars….Ian you were robed! I do like everyone left but I think from the beginning of the season the judges were extra hard on him because of his partner. He had some great dances but the judge’s scores did not reflect that. I know he got all 10’s on his last dance but that was not his best dance of the season by far. Now I must turn my votes to my other favorite Joey!!!
FOX: American Idol…They sang three songs each and I did not always like the judge’s pick. They are making Jordin sound like and old lady. Blake was ok but I don’t think he will be in the top 2. I think it will be and all girl final because Doolittle was the best last night. Go Doolittle!!
CBS: The Academy of Country Music awards were awesome! Rascal Flatts did a tribute to Virginia Tech and it was great. They flashed pictures of everyone who had their life taken that day. It made me shed a tear. It was great to see Faith Hill back up on stage; her and Martina McBride sounded and looked fantastic. Reba did a good job hosting, who could hate Reba!!! BUT….The Best parts of the show were Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift!!!! Tim did a beautiful tribute to out troops and yes, I shed more tears. At the end of the song the lights went up behind him and he had several families who had lost their family members in the war. The crowd stud to their feet and clapped for a good minute. It was a great tribute and man he was H.O.T.!!! Now I know I cried a few times during the show but when Taylor Swift came out and sang her song Tim McGraw and then introduced herself to him I was really crying. She did what millions of young girls dream about. She wrote a song to a boy about a wonderful summer romance and their song. To stand in front of millions of people and sing about someone who is 3 feet in front of you, I can’t see how she did it. She sang great and I think Tim was truly touched. He and Faith gave her a big hug after she was done. This would be the first time she has ever met them. Let’s just say I was really, really crying!!

It's almost over thank the Lord! The morning was very productive but the afternoon was spent looking for one piece of paper. Yes, one small very important piece of paper. I did deal with the problem so everything is OK but man I was worried for a moment. Now I'm about to fight the wonderful 5:00 traffic so I hope you all have a safe trip home and make sure you watch Dancing with the Stars. Go Ian and Joey!!
It is H.O.T. hot outside today!! We are in College Station for the Budweiser Softball Tournament. It is an annul tournament for Crush and many other teams around the state. It's kind of cool, we always stay in the same hotel and eat at the same places every year. This is one of my favorite tournaments of the season. We have only played one game today but we won 20 to 11. Our next game is in about 4 hours so we came back to the hotel for some rest. I'm sure it will be a long night for the team. Shannon is at home with the pups so I know they are having a ball. I'm so glad she likes to hang out with the dogs. I know she likes having her own space since she has moved home. I hope everyone is having a great weekend it is beautiful out side.
What a day, I’m doing statements and I hate it. I just ate Raising Cane’s for lunch and I love them they have the best chicken fingers ever. This weekend was fun. Friday I had lunch with Helen then went to the park with Kat and Tori. We brought the dogs and they had so much fun running around with Tori. I got on a swing for the first time in years and you would have thought I was 10! Kat was making fun of me but it was great. But let me tell you there was know way I was going to jump off like I use to do when I was a kid. Saturday Willie and I took Tyson and Roxi to the dog park. It just so happened to be the Saturday that the Boston Terriers meet up. There was like 20 Boston’s running everywhere. They were all so cute but all very different. Some where 15lb fully grown and others where 34lb full grown and no Roxi was not the biggest. After that we went to Mike’s house for a get together. It was fun having everyone together like we were kids. It’s crazy to me how we have a grown up so fast. Basketball and food sounds like we are 19 again.
Well, tomorrow is the big day for Steven and Jamie. They find out what the baby is around 9:00am. I’m so happy I can’t wait to buy a little brown bear or a purple butterfly after work. It’s killing me not knowing I can’t imagine how they feel. Work is calling I will post the big news tomorrow as soon as I find out.

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter with your family and friends. Willie and I spent Easter with his family on Sunday after church. We had a great time spending time together and eating lots of food. My family celebrated on Saturday at Granny's house in Beaumont, TX. Willie and I had a wedding on Saturday so we were not able to go but it all worked out because I got sick on Friday. I was in bed most of the weekend and would love to be in bed right now. I know I have not been keeping up with my blog the past few weeks but I have not had the time. We have had family in town and so that is where all my extra time has been going. I think they will all be back this weekend for Easter so that should be fun. Willie and I also have a wedding on Saturday we have got to go to. Even now as I think of what to type I really don't have a thing to say??? Crazy huh because I'm always talking!!! Sunday after church I did meet up with Jamie and Helen for some good old Cold Stone!!! That place is a gift from God!!! Speaking of God I hope you all take the time this week to reflect on each day and think about what was going on all those years ago so that we may be here today. I still really can’t believe the thought of one of us kids being gone so soon. Last night I was watching TV when a commercial for a new movie came on. When I started to cry and laugh at the same time watching Ninja Turtles so many old memories came to mind. It feels like yesterday we were all kids hanging out in the back yard pool or playing video games. Mikey you will be truly missed in so many ways by so many people. While 22 years is not long enough on earth you did live like a Rock Star but not just any kind of crazy man. You were a crazy man that had a heart of gold and a family that no matter what would never give up on you. You were truly blessed to have them as they were to have you. Even though the next few days will be full of tears I know you are in good hands looking down on us.
God gives and God takes away on his terms. When you are called to his alter we need not ask why. We must know that God is always in control and he has our divine plan set for us the day he delivers us to our parents. Even though the timing seems off to us here on earth we must know Mikey is right were God needs him to be.
What a day, work was crazy this morning. Now I am eating lunch with the girls and talking about girl stuff. Today is Tyson's first day home alone! I am so worried about him I can't wait to get off and go home. I know Roxi is going crazy wanting him out of the kennel to play. I plan on taken them to the park after work just so they can run around. Willie is going to try and come home at lunch a few days a week to take him out for 10 or 15 minutes. Other than that nothing much going on just ready for the weekend. Sunday Willie and I went to Cassy and Jason's house for dinner. We had to plan a softball craw fish party we are having this weekend. It should be fun the whole team and their family's will be there. I guess I need to finish eating have a great Tuesday.
Sorry for the last post, Jamie turned 26 on Saturday. That makes me old, Great! We all went to Salt Grass for Dinner around 5:00 on Saturday night. I think she had a good time. The food was great but the cake was the best!!! I Love Cold Stone!!!
